Course VPN

The Course VPN (CVPN) feature enables desktops to connect directly with one another.

This feature replaces "Turn off network isolation". When Network Isolation was turned off, desktops could communicate with any other desktop on a single server, but it did not allow communication between servers and data centres.

The Course VPN allows communication between any desktops added to a specific course, irrespective of the server and data centre.

This feature is supported only on Ubuntu and Windows 10 operating systems.  For other operating systems, you may still use "Turn off network isolation".

The following terminal screenshots display the CVPN interface as seen from the terminal, along with some additional properties of the connected interface.

Below are screenshots of the VPN network interface created when training workstations are set up.  You can see two student workstation terminals showing the `edge0` network interface, which is the course VPN.
