Unable to type certain characters – e.g., apostrophes, quotation marks, and inverted commas – into DaDesktop machine
This is a pesky issue that appears infrequently and depends on the type of physical keyboard, its language layout, and the internationalisation used.
This is a Windows only Issue
You can fix this by following these steps :-
- In the Windows search bar, type 'Settings'
- Click on 'Time & Language'
- Click the language option on the left-hand side
- Then under 'Preferred Languages', click on your preferred language, and then 'Options'.
- Then, 'Add a keyboard', and select your keyboard layout, e.g., US keyboard layout
- Delete the old keyboard layouts by clicking on them and selecting 'Remove'
- Test by typing a single quote: ' ' ', a quotation mark: ' " ', and an inverted quote mark: `.
