Using Desktop as a Chrome Application

A common issue when using the desktop in a browser tab is that certain shortcut keys (like Ctrl+W, Ctrl+F4) are intercepted by the browser.

A simple solution is to create an application using Chrome (or Chromium-based browsers).

 

1. More Tools -> Create shortcut on your computer desktop

2. Select "Open as window" when creating the shortcut

 

3. Run your application by double-clicking the shortcut on your desktop

4. Use your application and enjoy having the keyboard shortcuts working properly.
