Using Your Desktop After the Course

A handy feature of DaDesktop is that course participants can easily continue using their course machine for practice after the course ends. Before the course concludes, participants receive an email asking if they'd like to keep using their desktop machine.

 

Typically, each participant's course desktop is removed shortly after the course. If you wish to keep your desktop to practise the course lab, you can clone it into a 'Standalone Desktop' for later use.

Visit your Course and your Desktop machine, then click the 'Use desktop after course' option next to your machine.

 

DaDesktop will then guide you through a simple process, letting you 'Enable' this operation.

Once enabled, you'll see the following displayed next to your course machine:

After the course, access your standalone machine by clicking the Standalones menu at the top of your screen.

Any standalone machine not used for a month will be removed, but we send an advance warning email to users, giving them ample notice to continue using their standalone machines if they wish.
